Kent & Sussex England
August 2004

(Please be patient... it may take a few minutes for this page to load)

In August, Penny and I took a short four day holiday to Kent and Sussex. These are two counties in southeast England and are situated between London and the English Channel. Kent is said to be "the garden of England".

During our four days we visited 9 different sites including gardens, castles and manor houses. Between the two of us we took over 700 digital photographs.

With so many photos to review and edit, it's going to be a while before we have a complete presentation to share with everyone. I have therefore created this small "preview" so that you can all enjoy some of these beautiful gardens.

Notice the gardener making sure that every last piece of grass is picked up.

As for the editing that is done to these images... the vast majority of all the photographs on this web site have only been cropped and had the brightness, contrast and color saturation adjusted. For example, here is an image straight from the camera...

And here is the same image after it has been cropped and the brightness, contrast and saturation adjusted.

It takes a little time to tweak each image but I think you will agree that it's worth it.

Enjoy!
